"Shenzhen Makers@World" 2.0 - "Hello, Shenzhen!" is a bilateral exchange programme connecting makers in the UK and China, supported by the British Council, The Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation(SFIEC) and Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab.
Joining hands with SFIEC, the British Council will invite makers to take part in residencies in Shenzhen and the UK in March 2017.
The selected UK programme participants (Jo Ashbridge, Ross Atkin, Martin Goodfellow, Katrine Hesseldahl, Victor Strimfords, Helen Steer and Laura Martinez) will work with host partners in Shenzhen to provide collaborative solutions and research, covering a variety of themes and challenges including urban sustainability, maker education, innovation and enterprise.
Hello Shenzhen is developed in partnership with Liz Corbin, Institute of Making, University College London
Supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. "Hello, Shenzhen!" is also the continuation of the work carried out in this area by programme partners: including the Made in China and Living Research reports by British Council, AHRC, SZOIL, and Nesta.
